10/10/09  The Hornets posted wins against Tompkins Cortland CC (25-23, 25-19) and Alfred State (14-25, 26-24, 18-16) but were eliminated in the first round of the Alfred State Tournament with a 2-1 record in their pool. Katie Rutenber had 5 aces and 8 blocks, Skylar Gray 13 kills, Rebecca Thomas 32 assists, Kelly Snyder and Stephanie Ostrom each had 22 digs as Broome improved to 8-14. 

10/8/09  Broome won three straight games (25-18, 25-17, 25-19) in a home match against Finger Lakes CC (0-13). Skylar Gray led BCC with 7 kills and 2 blocks, Katie Rutenber 6 aces and Rebecca Thomas had 13 assists. The Hornets improved to 6-13 and play in the Alfred State Tournament this Saturday.

10/5/09  Broome lost to host Herkimer CC in four games (20-25, 8-25, 25-21, 16-25). Herkimer (10-11) scored nine unanswered points in the fouth game to end Broome's comeback bid. Skylar Gray had two aces and six blocks, Rachel Brennan, Katie Rutenber and Kelly Snyder had seven kills, Rebecca Thomas 25 assists and Megan Kresge had 14 digs. The Hornets (5-13) return home for a match on Thusday against Finger Lakes CC.

10/3/09  The Hornets traveled to Dryden to compete in the TC3 Invitational and finished the day 0-4 in pool play. Broome lost to Corning, Jefferson, Mohawk and Niagara as their record fell to 5-12 on the season. Leading the Hornets were Jessica Raminger and Skylar Gray with 13 kills, Rebecca Thomas 53 assists, Megan Kresge 46 digs and Katie Rutenber 9 blocks.

9/29/09  The Broome volleyball team improved their record to 5-8 in a match against visiting Jefferson CC (6-9). BCC led from start to finish in the fifth and final game of the match winning by a score of 15-12. Jessica Raminger led Broome with 7 aces, 15 kills, and 28 digs. Skylar Gray added 15 kills and Rebecca Thomas had 48 assists. 

9/26/09  BCC lost to visiting Adirondack in five games (25-23, 19-25, 24-26, 25-19, 13-15) this afternoon in the West Gym. Skylar Gray had 10 kills, 6 aces, and 5 blocks, Katie Rutenber had 6 aces, and Rebecca Thomas had 26 assists as Broome fell to 4-8 on the year.

9/23/09  Broome won their fourth match of the season on the road against the Elmira College JV team (0-2). The Lady Hornets (4-7) were led by Skylar Gray's eight kills and Rebecca Thomas' 17 assists as BCC swept the Soaring Eagles (25-14, 25-18, 25-16). Steph Ostrom added four aces and two blocks and Megan Kresge had 8 digs.

9/17/09  Skylar Gray and Rachel Brennan each had 9 kills to lead Broome (3-7) in three straight games (25-19, 25-21, 29-27) over visiting Onondaga CC (5-6). Rebecca Thomas had 28 assists and Megan Kresge added 20 digs.  

9/15/09  Broome fell to visiting SUNY Delhi 21-25, 10-25, 18-25.  Rebecca Thomas had 15 assists and Megan Kresge 15 digs for the Hornets.  Broome is 2-7.

9/12/09  Broome traveled to the Jefferson CC Invitational and lost three, two game matches to Erie (21-25, 25-27), Jamestown CC (9-25, 22-25) and Jefferson CC (13-25, 25-27).  Skylar Gray had eight kills, six aces and seven blocks for the tournament.  Rebecca Thomas had 26 assists, Jessica Raminger 20 digs, Rachel Brennan 6 kills and Megan Kresge 24 digs.  BCC is 2-6.

 9/10/09  The Hornets fell to visiting Corning CC 0-3 (19-25, 16-25, 22-25).  Jessica Raminger had 12 digs and three kills, Skylar Gray three kills and Rebecca Thomas seven assists.  Broome is 2-3.

9/8/09  BCC traveled to Tompkins Cortland CC and won the match 3-2 (25-12, 25-14, 11-25, 20-25, 15-7).  Skylar Gray had 10 kills, Rebecca Thomas 21 assists and Stephanie Ostrom six aces in the win.  BCC is 2-2. 

8/29/09 Broome hosted their annual BCC Invitational Tournament to open the 2009 season.  BCC did not advance from pool play, defeating Suffolk-Grant 2-0 and then losing to Jamestown 1-2 and Erie 1-2.  Kelsey Lewis was named to the All-Tournament Team.  Broome is 1-2.
